my Gravely is 10-11 years old, but runs very good, and cuts very good. The problem is that sometimes, after I have cut some grass, the carburetor leaks. It may not start until hours after I stop, and sometimes it just stops leaking on its own. Anyone have any ideas, suggestions?

You have crud in the carb that gets under the seat and prevents the needle cutting off the fuel.
Replace the fuel filter, clean out the fuel tank and clean out the carb.
As it is sparotic most likely the needle & seat is ok but if it is the original then you might like to consider a full rebuild kit.
