I have a 2006 XT 3300 60 cut 33hp Guardian Engine. I just replaced the blades, the old pair was pretty much wore out. Its cutting
a lot better until about a half hour in. Then I noticed in thick grass the belt is starting to slip. It never seemed to do this with the worn
blades. But now with the new set its slipping. I checked the belt and even tightened up on the nut with the spring and it helped a little.
The belts are in good shape I mean no cracks or wear. Any ideas what could be causing the belt to slip in thick grass with the new blades?
Some ones thoughts or ideas would be helpful. Thanks Ed edlkll

New blades require a lot more energy to rotate particularly if the flutes on the old blades are worn down.
More resistance to moving will cause a belt to slip particularly if it is old and worn thin or tensioning springs are loose.
