Need some help. Have a ZT1540 Gravely have replaced all three spindles OEM new belt, OEM and blades still continue to "bog" down at times when cutting. Use to cut at #2 level on height then went to #3 and 4 is way too hi for our yard. Any ideas? Sure would appreciate any possible solutions, engine and transmissions work good. cant afford new lawn mower at this time, Thank you.

http://apache.ariens.com/manuals/00189700A.pdf see pages 20 & 21 idler pulleys, item 7 quantity 2, item 10 quantity 1 , inspect idler pulley bearings for being worn out. Also check idler arm item 8 & spring item 31 for excessive wear. These parts are commonly overlooked when working on mower deck.

Thankyou Mechanic Mark. Its 95 degrees here and 105 heat index here in the boot heel of Missouri. I will check the items you have mentioned and thankyou for the instruction manual. I have saved that also. Again thank you.
