I inherited my dad's old lawn mower. I couldn't pull the starter cord, so I took off the recoil spring and tried turning it by hand and it won't budge. Not even when I gently apply pressure via cheater bar.
Suppose there's any saving this motor?

The engine brake is not stuck on rite?
If the engine brake is not on then yeah the engine it probably scrap.

if u find out it is the motor locked up pull the plug out and spray in pb blaster let it set for a while might free it up dont be shy with it use alot
