Huskiee 42inch Transmission?

My Huskie 42 inch tranny seems to have gone out.
I removed the mower deck and found that the belt is on and it turns fine. Pu a cinder block on the seat, up on stands and got it running. no forward or reverse. the belt seems fine. how to narrow it down with out dismantling further?

Plugged filter, maybe. There is also some shift control linkage that's used to operate the hydrostatic transmission. The control linkage may need some adjustment. Lift the back wheels off the ground, and see if the wheels turn while in neutral. If there is, and you loose drive in either the forward or reverse gear, then it's "Drive Adjustment Time". The Huskee is an MTD product. It will require a lot of periodic adjustments. Bring out the manual, or get a manual at MTDproducts.com
