MTD Yard Machine GOLD 42"

Need help fixing my MTD Yard Machine GOLD 42" mower deck engagement.
I grazed a rock and the mower blades shut off. This has happened before from
excessive load on the mower deck but it always comes back on once the load is removed.
This time the mower deck will not turn on. It starts and runs fine. The belt is good.
The blades and pulleys rotate smoothly. The deck is supposed to engage when I shift the deck
position. There is no click, whine, or any sound at all when I move the handle to the engage position.
I checked the handle home position switch and it is fine. The deck drive pulley comes right off the
main engine crank but must have a clutch with solenoid actuation? Maybe a blown fuse? Please help.

if you have the type of deck that when you lower the deck the deck moves rearward tensioning the deck belt sounds like either you have broke the big tension spring that pulls the deck back or somehow unhooked it from the frame.
