I have a Hustler Raptor 21-Hp V-Twin Hydrostatic 42-in Zero-Turn Lawn Mower with the mulching kit. I would like to get a set of Oregon blades for it. The original blades and the ones that come with the kit are,
LENGTH: 20-1/2
CENTER: 5/8
WIDTH: 2-1/2
THICKNESS: .200

The new set I would like to get are OREGON 396-740 MODEL 8025. GATOR MULCHER G6 BLADE.
LENGTH: 20-1/2
CENTER: 5/8
WIDTH 3"
THICKNESS: .250
The new Oregon blades are 1/2 wider and .050 thicker.

Your opinions please!

About the only difference, if you haven't found out yet, is that the blades being a little wider, the might hit. Other than that shouldn't be any issues.

I'd do some checking and see if your mower will accept those blades. The G 6 blades are for commercial mowers. The G3 and G5 are residential blades.

Thanks for the input! I think I will go with the G5 blades, Oregon 596-319 G-5 Blades because they are the same thickness as the originals!

LENGTH: 20-1/2
CENTER: 5/8
WIDTH 3"
THICKNESS: .200

Thanks again and when I put them on I will let you know if the wider blade has interferance.

The new blades came about a week ago and I finally got a chance to mount them. Happy to say the went right on and no interference with the wider (3") blade.
I ran around the front yard and mulched some leftover leaves and it all looks go to go!:thumbsup:
