got another zero turn in with starting issues (intermittent)
first: I checked the relay (being last mower I did had same issue, and relay was the problem)
this one checked good.
second place: checked the starter solenoid (checked good)
third place: checked the ignition sw. (checked good)
ok now I wondering where to go from here
I re-assemble the control panel, hit key and engine turns over.
hit the key a couple more times engine still turns over.
ok
fired mower up take it for test spin, returned to garage, turned mower off hit the key nothing
so I begin to hit the key (start circuit) off and on repeatedly.
(during this time for some unknown reason I bang once on the control panel) and shazam! the engine turns over.:confused2:
ok
removed panel again checked ignition sw. contacts (again all checked good)
re-assembled panel, hit key nothing, now as I hit key again I placed my other hand on pto sw. and engine turned over.
hmmm?
hit key nothing, wiggled pto sw. knob, engine turns over.
final test: turn key nothing- (hold pto knob to the side) engine turns over.
check pto contacts (checked good)
(as long as I held pto sw. to one side engine would start ever time.)
final conclusion: faulty pto sw.
