Bought this mower the other week, bl00dy expensive here in Oz (over $9000) and first of all put 20x10-10 carlisle turf masters on it - had to do some grinding of the tank brackets to make it fit, but is much kinder on soggy lawns now...

then made up a chute blocker out of 5/8 steel, fabricated some brackets and welded them on...a couple of try outs showed a bolt needed to be added to hold it closed. Put on a gator g6 blade and it is mulching perfectly...

"this image has been deleted"... says the mighty (not) fotofarkit.com.
Buuut seeing as how you did give it a go I fired up
a PC and checked out your original post/s.
Gotta ask... you using low hydrogen rods? 2.5mm?

not sure what you mean re the agent?

Whomever you bought the ride offn.
My experience has been mods - like tyre change (0D/HT) - has
them leaping all over the shop at warranty service times.
No?
I can see why you mulch, for mine it places unecessary load
on a ride plus no need to mulch here. Rains bucket loads most
days!

Cherrio...
