I've done these before but that was on a push mower where I could chalk the blad to keep the shaft from turning. This one is on a tractor so I have no blade directly on the shaft. I don't have a flywheel holding tool or anything, but there has got to be an easier way to do it. (no I don't have air tools either)

Obviously this isn't a flywheel but it is the only pic I have to show how a red neck impact is made to work in instances like you are confronted with.

The tool that has the handle labeled "strike here" is a breaker bar with a socket attached. The socket is shimmed with a cereal box top so it stays on the sheave nut. The tool labeled "impactor" is a pine 2x4 about 2 and a half ft. long. With a little practice you quickly learn how hard to "strike here".

The one SandburRanch has shown above, will work perfectly, have done the same also... I use air or electric impacts when I can ... but one of these $8 impacts from HF with a socket in its 1/2 drive will work on almost anything...
Impact Screwdriver Set with Case
Give it a twist and a smack with a heavy hammer and it's off... :smile:KennyV
