I am trying to replace the original traction drive cable (AM106051) which has been replaced by GX21634. The new cable is too long and does not seem to fit.
I cannot find anything that addresses this problem on the internet or John Deere DTAC. Has anyone else come across this situation?

If your old cable had "Z" bend, or an oblong end on it that a hook on the lever went through, you're also going to need the updated handle that has a round stub the new cable end fits over
Deere #GX22026, there is also a push nut needed to hold the cable, but I can't remember the #
