Coil question

I think this is the correct section to post my inquiry.
I have a question regarding the space between the flywheel and the coil points.
How much space should be between them?... The mower is a Honda Harmony2 HRT 216 pull start.

I usually just use an old bisness card. works perfectly well.

That is what you call an ignition coil "Air Gap". On a Honda it is .003 on both legs. Since you are there clean them with some fine sand paper and the magnet too. Good Luck!:thumbsup:

Don't have to be perfect my rule of thumb is a playing card or just a visible gap where it is not rubbing the fly wheel. Cheers

Just make sure you rotate the engine slowly by hand after you set the gap to make sure the coil doesn't contact the flywheel.
