I purchased two new coils . They arrived today & I installed them . Engine fired right up & ran on both cylinders . I left the kill wires disconnected & as expected the safety switches no longer work . What I didn't expect is that the engine still dies when the key switch is turned off . Anyone know why ?

Because the fuel solenoid on the carb lost power when you turned the key off, and that in turn shut the fuel off from the carb jets. No gas, no run.

Thanks , I suspected that & was going to search the forum for an answer . I had noticed a couple wires going to the carb.
