Fuel John Deere L110 Gas Tank Replacement

Has anyone seen or had an issue like the one in the pics? I ordered a new fuel tank (#GY21876) for my JD L110. My old boxer tank started to leak around the seams. I applied Expoxy putty, and JB Weld, but the tank still leaked when filled with water.

I have completely disassembled the mower as the installation instructions said to do. But, I'm having trouble getting the new tank to fit, on the included support rod. There are brackets for the mower deck that keep getting in the way.

Any other instructions or helpful advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well with the brackets being in the way like that I am going to say maybe it is the wrong tank they gave you and the link above supplied by Mark says it is a different part number than you have.
