Drive belt replacement Lt 125 46"

I have a Snapper lt125 46" and it has a loose drive belt. It still works for now but soon it will need replacing. My question is after looking how the belt is routed must the steering wheel be removed and the shaft drop out the bottom to just to change this belt.

I have the same question on the snapper drive belt. I need to find out how to replace this upper belt.
