Charging a dead battery

I'm sure that all their batteries aren't seconds ! :smile:
If it were only in a small region that they were selling for less I might think that myself... But considering how many they sell world wide, I don't think there have been that many 'seconds' built ever... I didn't mean that they are all seconds - only that it is part of the reason (as well as mass quantity) that they can sell cheap -- you just don't know when and if you'll get one of the bad ones -- of course that can happen anywhere ! :wink:
Their price reflects what they pay when making huge wholesale purchase agreements and then their sheer retail volume ... In mower size battery's there is not going to be much difference from one to the next...
just like all lead acid batteries try to buy the heaviest for the least $ per pound... :smile:KennyV

Can a battery that has been dead for so long be recharged?

Been my experience that once a battery is dead it stays dead. During the Winter I charge my mower batteries once a month just to keep them alive until Spring.

If a battery has frozen, I wouldnt give it much hope
