New to the site, so just wanted to put my two cents in, I live in Raleigh NC, bought a Toro LX423 in 08, may have 200 hrs maybe, engine blew this year, thought it was the governor so fixed that, did not see any other damage, back together ran about two turns around the yard and quite. Seems one of the cam supports broke screwed up one bearing surface on cam, so short block was needed. To make a sad story short, I now have a block with piston for a Courage 19 hp. Block looks to be in good shape, I am not a machinist so take my opinion with a grain of salt. The pan is intact so could be reused. I also have the cam and other parts of engine, to include carburetor. Anyone interested contact me a (919) 270-9489 or send an email, hate to let it just sit around or go to the salvage hard.
