Buying Advice john deere 322 info please

hello all,
i was just wondering if anyone has had or ownes a jd 322? im not up to date on the yanmar gas motors are these good motors? and if so how many hours do they seem to run? im looking to possibly purchase one of these locally but it has rite around 2100hrs on it already..the man claims it doesnt use any oil and changed it every spring and in the fall...any ones imput would be appreciated

The yanmar is a great engine. Both the gas 322 and 332 diesel version. As you can see its already made it to 2100 hrs. Has it had any engine work done? With that many hrs I'm sure a rebuild is lurking somewhere. What's the compression in each cylinder? Lots of things to consider - how's the hydro, any hydraulic leaks? Frame? Rust? Price? Check the JD forum over on mytractorforum.com. Several members have this tractor and would be more than willing to give their real world experience with it. Good luck.
