My tiller sat a few years unused with gas in the tank. I cleaned out the tank, cleaned and blew out the carb and got it running. Now when the moter is under load it sometimes stalls. I do not always see the governor linkage reacting to the engine rpm. When it doesn't the motor will stall. So, does the governor need adjusting or is there something else I should do?

Thanks

The static governor adjustment should not have to be adjusted. Unless you took the actual arm off instead of the linkage. Make sure everything rotates freeley (no binding) Also check the linkage to see if it is installed in the incorrect hole(if you removed it to clean the carb) If the linkages are a little rusty it may cause your symtoms, If the carburetor has internal abstruction it will also cause this, may need to be soaked and blew out.
