Is the Fastrak worth the $1500 or so more than the cost of a Sport? Looking to mow 3-5 acres.

What I already know is:
While Sport has a good deck, the Fastrak has a heavier deck.
Fastrak has serviceable transmission.
Fastrak deck hangs from chain rather than bar on Sport.
Both have Kawasaki engine.

Is the Fastrak worth the extra cash for a non-commercial mower?

Thanks.

3-5 acres is a decent amount of land to mow, so the Fastrak might be the mower to consider. Also you said the Sport's deck hangs by a bar. If you have a lot of uneven terrain the fixed deck might scalp the lawn in some places. But the Sport might still be good for you.

I would spend the extra cash. The servicible trannies are going to be a lot better than the cheaper non-servicible trannies. If one of them goes out, your $700-$1000 dollars in on repairs. Better deck is also going to be better.

WELCOME to LMF...
As has already been mentioned, also by you...
More durable AND serviceable.... Those two are going to serve you well over the decades that a quality mower should last. :smile:KennyV
