It looks like a very messy tree. If they were mine I would be thinking camp fire wood.

If it was my house I would have dropped them a long time ago but there not as bad as a sweet gum tree.

I know. There have been many times where I am mowing a yard that has walnuts and then I go to turn around at the end of the pass but a walnut gets stuck in front of the rear mower tire and stops the mower instantly, and then I am not ready for it and I usually end up getting a handlebar in the stomach! :thumbdown:

It looks a little messy but we rake and bale straw and then sell it for mulch in beds. It brings a minimum of $4 a bale normally. In that situation you get paid to clean it up then you can sell it. Some times we also re lay it another yard. Then it brings $6.50 to $8.00 a bale.
The line says what would you do? That is probably what I would do.

Seeing I am not in the landscaping my opinions isn't that good. But if I was and was making money I would say bring them on and plant more of then very nice looking pine trees. If they were in my lawn CAMP FIRE WOOD and not fire wood because I find pine makes a lot of fire but no BTUs. Now as camp fire wood it make a nice fire with a lot of snaping noise.

Up here we have so many pine trees nobody wants the straw for mulch (except in the fall around their rose bushes) so I would rake it up and take it to out local composter we can dump leaves grass and pine needles there for free sticks rocks and soil are 6 dollars a yard
