---------SAFE SELLING GUIDELINES---------

As you start to get contacted by potential buyers, please be careful of online scam attempts. For many years, online classified websites have been the target of scammers who attempt to defraud sellers of high-ticket items, including tractors, with various illegal tactics.

Here are some general guidelines:

* If something "just doesn't seem right" it probably isn't.

* Deal locally with folks you can meet in person.

* Never accept or wire funds via western union, moneygram or any other wire service - anyone who asks you to do so is a scammer.

* Fake cashier checks & money orders are common, and banks will cash them and then hold you responsible when the fake is discovered weeks later.

* LawnMowerForum.com is not involved in any transaction, and does not handle payments, guarantee transactions, provide escrow services, or offer "buyer protection" or "seller certification."

* Never give out financial information (bank account number, social security number, ebay/paypal info, etc.)

* Avoid deals involving shipping or escrow services and know that only a scammer will "guarantee" your transaction.

* Do not ship items to a buyer until you are 100% positive that the funds for the transaction have been secured through a trusted method.

This is by no means a complete list and scammers are always coming up with new tactics to try.

Thank you!!!

I'm glad there is finally a "classified forum"! I can't wait to see what people have for sale. Thanks for creating it Muhammad & Briana!
