I have a new Husqvarna YTH22V42 lawn tractor. The muffler and exhaust are mounted on the front of the tractor. I am bothered by the fumes as I mow. I want to fabricate to where the exhaust will exit from the rear of the tractor. I am thinking a flexible mounted exhaust hose from the front muffler along or underneath the fenders securing to a mount in the rear. Has anyone had this fume problem and came up with their own solution. i would be interested in your feedback.

Thanks
Ted

take it to a exhaust shop and have them make a tail pipe for it that runs to the rear of the tractor and weld it to the muffler just make sure you keep it away from any belts and out of the way of the deck and it should be fine

I would be careful in extending the exhaust. This will definitely change the performance of the engine and you may not like the cost down the road.

he would need to also increase the size of the pipe to make up for it

If you get an exhaust shop to put one on, make sure that it won't restrict access to some part that you might need to get at. Remember Murphys Law!
If they can make it removable all the better.
