The motor is missing and worse under load. I ran it briefly, checked the plugs, and one was hotter than the other. I swapped the plugs and both were firing off of one side but not the other so thought it was the coil and replaced it. Still having trouble so bought new plugs. Looks like equal spark on both sides but spark is weak. The voltage wire going from the regulator is the same for both coils. It cascades or chains to the first coil then around the engine to the second coil. Anyone know what voltage I should find going to these coils?

Do a compression test, you will find that the one that is not firing will be down, and then come back and let one know.

So you think this is mechanical instead of electrical?

At this point I'll will not say its mechanical, until you have come back with the test report, it can still be a coil down, but a compression test is always a good place to start from.
