This has been a great mower fro many years but am having trouble with the gears. The mower works and runs fine but only works when in 1st gear. i have yards that has some steep grades and need the extra push to get up the hills. Any ideas would be helpful to put it in motion.

Get me the serial number off the back top edge of the mower deck; it's in the form of MXXX-1234567 and I can get some troubleshooting pages for you.

It may just be a worn or out-of-adjustment cable, but might be the original transmission has seen better days.
