Repairs Problem with freedom Z zero turn mower with 26 hp briggs engine-50 hrs.

Freedom Z 26HP with 50 hrs.Cuttin tall grass, and engine would shut down, wait 10 seconds and start up cut again for 5-10 minutes, then shut down again ,like out of gas shut down. I could smell the belt, it was real heavy grass. Does the freedom Z have a automatic shut off if belt gets hot,somekind of sensor that would shut mower off ??. Thanks for someone's help !!Update: I was cutting only 1/3 or less of the blade width. It acted like I saidm earlier that it was running out of gas. I added 2 gallon of gas and cut some more grass NOT AS TALL,with no problem ?? Thanks for any Info. Lewis in SC.

No machine takes well to being bogged down, your machine is trying to send you a message.
Periodically I end up doing very tall grassy areas and sometimes I have to start with the deck at the max cut height and mow with 1/3 of the deck width capability. The engine and deck RPM need to be maintained in order to keep the machine functioning and not overloaded.
