How much gas ?

About a month ago I bought an 05 fast track with a new 20 hp Honda on it. When I got the mower each tank looked to be about 1/2 full of gas. I didnt see any need to use both tanks so I have been trying to run one of them out of gas and just use the other one. I mowed for over 6 hours on that 1/2 tank before it ran dry. With my old Case I dont think I could have mowed more than 2 1/2 hours on that much gas. Do all of these Hondas do this well on gas?

Don't know about Honda but with my 22 HP Kohler on a 60in mower I use about 5 gallons of gas in a 8 hour day. The only 4 stroke Honda I have is on a small AC generator and it just seems to use less then a couple of gallons in 24 hours of running time.

Ok Thanks. I would guess thats about what Im getting. I thought they would burn more than that.
