How tall is your fence? We're having a discussion about what the proper height should be and everyone seems to have a different opinion, so I thought I'd see what height you all prefer your backyard fences to be.

It depends on the style of fence and what one is trying to keep in or out. Or if it's simply decorative. But I think that 4-6 feet would be the ideal height.

Where I live the max a fence can be is 6 feet or they can make you remove it. You also need a permit to put up some kinds of fences. Our pools and such need fences too to be legal.
