Long term storage

I have a riding mower (Husky) that has under 4 hours of use. I need to do a long term storage that may last several years. I have removed the battery and drained the gas tank and ran the motor to make sure no gas is in the carb.
Is there anything else I should do? What about the pistons? should I put a light oil in the cylinders and do a dry start?

thanks

I would put oil on the cylinders and turn it over by hand a couple of times to coat the cylinders. I would also loosen the bolt on the bottom of the carb to get all remaining fuel out. Loosen do not remove. Tight after. If possible raise the tires off floor and grease all fittings.

Hi

I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to take the spark plug out and put some oil in the spark-plug hole and pull the string a few times and get the oil all over the piston.
