I have a craftsman Garden tractor with an 18 Kohler Twin, the problem is it died, then it will not start back up. I bought a new twin coil and gapped it, but still am not getting any spark. Any ideas would be appreciated!

Unplug the ground wire going to the igntion module and see if you have fire to the plug then. If so then the problem is in the tractor someplace. Like clutch, seat, or pto safety switches or a shorted wire in the harness.

OK found a wire expose and taped, now have spark but won't start. getting fuel to plugs. tried starting fluid, no go.

Hey, what did you eventually find out? I have the same symptoms in a Simplicity with the M18.

How do you know you're getting fuel to the plugs? Are they wet?
