Just wondering if these 2 filter types can be used interchangeably on gravity fed fuel systems and if one tends to filter finer particles than the other. Also, do the screen types have a direction of flow or can they be used either way..

I’ve got a Chinese 420cc engine that has a rattle when running that’s been getting increasingly louder as of late. It’s also been harder to turn the motor over with the pull cord when starting it as well. I imagine the problem is something serious but just wanted to run it past someone before...

I have a Briggs i/c gold 13.5hp motor that spews out blue smoke but only does it intermittently. Most of the time, when it starts happening I can shut the motor off, let it sit for a minute, start it up again it will run without issue. Anyone know what might be going on?

Engine starts and runs fine for about 10-15 seconds then stalls. It restarts fine but then stalls again in same time period. Playing with the choke doesn't really help keep it running any longer Any clue as to what the cause is?
