I have a Cub Cadet 1030 that is really slow in reverse and if backing up a slight hill it wont even do that but has plenty of speed in forward gears. What would cause this? Drive belts?

I have a 5hp Briggs on a MTD rear engine rider with a 26inch deck. The cover says 5hp at 3000 rpm, I measured with a tachometer and the motor is only running at 1500 rpm with full throttle. What do i adjust to get the engine rpm higher.

My carb does not close when the throttle cable is moved down it stays in the same place. it seems to have something to do with this spring but it seems like it is hooked up correctly.

Hello, i purchased a old MTD rear engine rider with a 5.0 206cc briggs. I am unable to fine a new carb for this engine, Model number on the recoil housing is 130902-1177-01 dont see any other numbers. 299448 Looks to be what i can find in the manuals but it is no longer available from any sites...
