I've joined this group while working on my John Deere 115 tractor. I'm in the process of refurbishing it and saw him posting pictures of processes I go through as a model through getting this finished. I've posted some processes that might be of interest such as repairing a plastic gas tank...
Hi guys,
I am replacing my brake pads on my mower deck for my 115 mower. New mower pads cost $26.50 each (takes 2 per deck). Has anyone out there replaced the actual pads on their brakes or do you guys simply replace and throw yours away?
It looks like someone could remove and glue new pad...
Does anyone have one of the gear parts that raises and lowers the deck for a weedeater one?
I need the part that attached to the desk that looks like a circle with teeth in it..
When I looked over the mower, it smelled stongly like gasoline. After I removed the body pan, I discovered the tank had a big hole in the side of it. I repaired it in these pictures incase you guys need to know how to repair your slimey plastic gas tanks LOL..
I bought this lawn mower on the cheap that has seen better days.. I decided to take the project of rebuilding it on a budget and doing the work myself to renew this unit. It is mechanically sound, so a lot of the work is aesthetic to resolve rust issues and abuse fro m the past..
Hi guys,
I bought a 115 automatic which was a litttle rough looking, but it runs very well. I took it upon myself to completely rebuild this little guy from the ground up and try to be as cost conscious as possible. If everyone is interested, I will post lots of pictures of my progress as well...
