First time Simplicity owner question: When lowering cutting deck, I have to push up or forward to lower deck. When raising deck, I pull back or down. Why does that seem backwards? Shouldn't it be pull down for down, and push up or forward for up? Or is this the way all hydro lifts work on...

Looking to buy a Simplicity Prestige 2WD tractor with snowblower. Want to upgrade from a John Deere LT166 tractor that doesn't have a blower. Getting up in years, and don't want to be using a walk-behind in the wisconsin winters anymore. Is the Simplicity a good choice? Any advice? Thanks ahead...
