I finally got the 26 hp kohler running without choke on. Now it really overrevs and sounds like about ever 10 seconds floods itself out and sputters, will blow black smoke out and run again. I assume i have governor or linkage troubles. I cant find a pictrue with this engine on a JD 110. Thanks...

Had starting problems on my 25 hp kohler. After a few cleanings of carb. it starts and runs to the governor but half choke off it sputters and dies. My 25 hp command kohler has set through the summer because no rain means no mowing! I always winterize it and havent had one bit of trouble with it, but i parked it in may and just now got it back out. I had trouble gettin it started but finally stopped and drained the gas and cleaned the plugs...
