    2100Z Front Spindle

Happened to me too. Supposedly a lot of new Ferris this year were under greased. If you put the zerk fittings on, you'll need to pump a whole lot of grease on there to fill the tube, otherwise the grease won't reach the bearings. I ended up popping the black cap off and put a mixture of grease...

Hours add up if you forget key on.

My dad left the key on. Lol. Now my Hustler apparently has over the 700 hours, when it probably has around 100. That's a dumb design.

Hustler raptor kawasaki crankshaft end snapped off

The machine is 3 years old. Not used a whole lot, but used hard when we do. Cuts lot of tall grass. Anyways the crankshaft snapped off flush with the engine case. Why would this happen? And how hard would it be to just replace the crank? Click on the link for pictures : https://imgur.com/a/f1AfydK

He said it cut alright until he got to some thick stuff out back. I was telling him what a difference blades make and how you can cutout the opening bigger. I lifted the shoot to show him how i cut mine, and we find this. A good laugh was had.

    hustler raptor sd 54 modifications

here's a few of the things i've done to my raptor. 2015 model with around 90 hours 1. cut the deck opening bigger. got rid of the angled part. also removed belt guards so grass dont build up underneath. notice the oregon gator blades, they work the best in my opinion for taller or wet...

    Raptor SD versus metal rod

was mowing a field today and ran over a copper rod that was laying on ground. it got caught up in the blades and stalled the machine. luckily i was able to wiggle it out, and no damage to machine. even the blades didnt look hurt. those oregon blades are real tough.

Raptor SD cut quality - any recommendations?

i wonder if you could benefit from a mulching kit. it would probably keep the grass suspended longer in the deck and chew up the grass more. Shop Hustler 54-in Zero-Turn Radius Mower (ZTR) Mulch Kit at Lowes.com
