Great thank you. The shaft is solid and the pulley wobbles. I can actually see space between shaft and pulley as I move it. Also thank you for the part number.

Hi All Got an old 2004 Murray Select model 425001x8B Was working on it today and noticed it has a very wobbly drive pulley on top of the transmission. think it’s just the key or is the pulley worn out? TY

😳 Just torqued mine down to 80 ft lbs since I couldn’t find torque specs in the manual. Used the torque from other mowers I have. wow if I loosen them up to they might fall apart!

My RZT 50 did the same thing. I found it had a corroded fuse. Put another inline fuse holder and fuse on it and runs great.

Is the valve cover directly over the muffler? Mine smokes after sitting a while due to the oil dripping out of the valve cover seal and oiling up the muffler.

Checked pto w/o belt and pto spins. Checked belt tension and it was very loose. I shortened one of the idler pulley springs and all works good. Thank you for your suggestions.
