Older Craftsman Recoil shroud removal help
Hello all. Trying to get to the recoil assembly on this old craftsman with a Tecumseh engine. It appears the assembly was riveted on. Was this the norm for that vintage? I would assume I am going to have to drill these out as there is no other way that I know to remove them. Any idea on what... -

New To The Hobby.... Here is my collection thus far...
First up is this craftsman. I got it for free, it is now running again but it looks like something is missing from the recoil unit? Anyone know? Second we have an older red one from Sears. Can anyone tell me more about it, such as the vintage and et cetra? Finally we have the three lawn boys...- thadpk

Adding a recoil pull start to a electric start only Lawn Boy
Hello all! New to the forums, just picked up 3 Lawn Boy mowers. All have electric start only. Models are: 8243AE1 8243AE 82414E What would the process be to convert these to recoil start (not sure why they were never manufactured with electric only???) Thanks all!
