    Mulching blades?

I see this on my Timecutter. The lines are just a result the of the physics of the clockwise spinning of the blades. They just shove everything to the right until there is no more further right. Both blades counter-clockwise spinning and the line would be on the other side, contra-rotating and...

    S130 Grass Cutting Issues

I don’t see unevenness in the cut. I see tracks from the tires. I find that if I cut grass that is too long/wet the front tires flatten it but the blades can’t lift it up for a clean cut. Going over it again at a right angle seems to help but who wants to mow twice!

Toro Timecutter (75742) G6 Gator Blade question

It is an attempt to draw cleaner air from above the engine rather than around or below. As described here: https://www.lawnmowerforum.com/threads/air-source-on-my-toro-timecutter-ss4235.67288/#post-418084

Toro Timecutter (75742) G6 Gator Blade question

Regarding the chopping of leaves: Despite having the mulching kit with Gator blades on my Toro timecutter I was frustrated with the leaves that escape out the right side beneath the deck. I made this rubber skirt to stop that. It hangs from the "tractor" frame and not the deck itself so it has...

Toro Timecutter (75742) G6 Gator Blade question

I am heading into my fourth season using G3's on my 42" Timecutter. I have had no problems and am pleased with the improvement from the factory blades. I have them with mulching upgrades on the deck and I see some of the results mentioned here but I have no regrets.

    Toro Timemaster new in box

I'm not interested, as I am happy with my Timecutter, but you may want to specify the width of it's mower deck and which engine.

    John Deere 125 Lawn Mower

I am just curious but how do you know the blades are spinning faster as you raise the deck? Is it that 1. the deck is low and mower engaged 2. you disengage the mower but the blades slow down but don't stop spinning 3. as you raise the deck the blades sound like they spin faster

Air source on my Toro Timecutter SS4235

As my time is plentiful this time of year I proceeded as shown. It took about 20 minuets to implement. The fittings are off the shelf in the electrical department. I raised this issue a few weeks back and did not get a lot of support. Did I let that stop me? No Sir! :) This is flexible steel...

    FR651 AirFilter Modification

I raised this issue a few weeks back and did not get a lot of support here. Did I let that stop me? No Sir! :) Here is what I did. This is flexible steel electrical conduit. I did not want something rigid because I go under low limbs and/or sometimes when I turn the engine goes into shrubs. So...

CV740 ... metal shimmer in the oil, 1,500 hours

Once a penguin went into a mower repair place with the same original problem. The mechanic said, "It looks like you blew a seal". The penguin replied, "No, I just had a milkshake".

Air source on my Toro Timecutter SS4235

Thanks for the comments. I already use the leaf blower on the mower after each mow. The airbox and cover are in factory condition except for the wingnut that I replaced one "latch" with. They don't but should sell the "latch" separately. The whole cover was $27 and since the "latches" like to...

Air source on my Toro Timecutter SS4235

I have a Kohler KT725 2 cyl. engine on my Toro Timecutter SS4235. I have an issue with where the air is drawn from for the engine. It seems to be kinda ducted up past the exhaust manifold before entering the air cleaner enclosure. I say kinda because this path is not airtight by any means...

    Zero turn choice

I have the Toro SS4235 Timecutter with a 42" deck. I don't think they make that specific model anymore for whatever reason. I got it with the 2 cyl Kohler and a mulching deck. It's at least 4 years old. I mow about 2 acres of slopes and flat spots. I went with 42" so I could get between many...

Increasing rear tire size on Toro 42 inch Timecutter

First input here from a long-time reader. I have this mower and I agree that the traction is not good when mowing slopes for sure. I am not sure that larger tires would solve the problem since the same weight will be distributed over a larger area so your putting less PSI on the ground. Isn't a...
