Is it OK to siphon out all that I can and replace with new? Will there be any cavitation issues? How much should I expect to pull out?
Oh! One more question. So far, the dipstick reads just touching the wide portion of the stick. Will overfilling cause any damage?

I bought a HR215 HXA last week. The tranny fluid doesn't even appear on the stick.
I have a syringe and ready to add. How much should I add, at a time, as to not overfill?

Hi Everyone,
I bought this at an estate sale. She runs great EXCEPT when I push the self-propel handle forward the tranny engages at the last minute. It seems to operate normally when warmed up.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
BTW - this mower was put into service June 1993...

New guy here who just picked up an HR215 HXA in VERY good shape. The right front wheel height adjust lever (42951-VA-000) is broken and I found one on ebay for 6 bucks.
Hardly any wear on the wheels.
The oil and air filter are clean.
Starts right up.

Picked it up at an estate sale. The oils is clean. The air filter looked new, just a little dusty. She runs like new.
I can't see to find out what year it was made or hat the difference are between HX, SX, etc.....
