After I built my own string of diodes , the circuit worked perfectly, after inspecting the new factory string I noticed that the first diode inline from the ground terminal was in backwards.

Thanks, I am about to double check the diodes although 2 sets seem to do the same thing, when I ground the coils out it will shut down, I am about make my own setup.

Hi All, Vtwin will not shut down, if I ground out each coil it will shut down, replaced diode string, soldered connections to coils as they seemed a bit loose, still no Joy, diodes test OK with Fluke meter diode setting. Any thoughts? Thanks Geo🇺🇸

I just wanted to know the amperage of the the system, allegedly from colors , Engine 3054470610 G1, as stated ,colors don’t mean anything anymore.

Nope! Brand new motor out of the box, that’s why I say the color coding is not correct, I tried to post a pic but the file is to large.

It’s flat black, and the terminals are flat, nothing seems to match up, you’re supposed to be able to tell stator by wire color and connector color. NOT!

Hi All. Trying to get the fuel pump working on this 16HP vacuum pulse pump, should we be able to read vacuum pressure from the valve cover port ? if so, how much. 2nd pump and have the same results, no fuel to carb.

It’s possible it’s a different spring however I think it needs to stiff to retract the throttle cable. Geo??

Thanks for that link, lots of good info, still can’t quite figure out how the governor is supposed to work, I see how the throttle is controlled but there is a really strong spring involved and no way governor will over come that, I don’t think anyway. Geo ??
