Tillman Weed whacker is a bust

I purchased a Tillman Weed whacker last year, on sale at Lowes. It lasted half the season; just stopped, refused to start up again. What should I have purchased for getting rid of tall tough grass?

Georgia grass may be a little tougher than Kansas grass but with either one you are best with a trimmer that is going to be dependable and that is going to last .
There is a best trimmer discussion going right on now , the overwhelming positive opinion looks to be for ECHO brand...
I have a couple Echo brand that have been great for decades of HEAVY use...

Depending on how heavy material you are cutting, there are big differences in cutters... Even within a manufactures line. There is a difference between a String Trimmers, Weed Trimmers, Weed Eaters, Curved + Straight Shaft Yard Trimmers - ECHO USA
verses a Brushcutters, Straight Shaft Brushcutter, U Handle Brushcutter - ECHO USA

For the typical grass trimming job, the Trimmer line is good... If you are going to be getting into Heavy stuff you might consider the BrushCutter line. :smile:KennyV
