Have you ever seen those men that make things out of a chunk of wood. We have a bear and it's cool. I can't believe they can make these things with chainsaws. What kind of chainsaw do they use?
My daughter wants to start her own flower garden out back. We have a couple of gardens already, but she wants to start her own. We have a trellis outback that has built in seats and she wants to put her garden in the middle of that. What do we need to do? Can we just roto-til it up?
We have 2 rose bushes and I want to move them to the front of the house (in the back right now). Can you share any tips so I don't lose them in the move? How big of a ball of roots and dirt do I want to get? How deep should I dig the holes to replant them?
We want to extend the driveway next Spring and the only things standing in the way are flowers. I don't want to lose the flowers, I want to move the bed. How hard is this going to be? Do you think now is the time to do it? Most are Spring and summer flowers.
So when is your last mowing of the year? It's getting cooler out and that means the grass is not growing as quick as it was. I hate to say it but in a couple of months the snow might be flying. When is your last mowing usually?
I remember having a wheelhorse growing up. It's what I used to cut the grass. How are they now? The one we had when I was a kid was amazing. I swore the thing never broke down. I wanted it to more times than 1 so I could get out of mowing.
Is it true that the clover that is in your yard attracts bees? I can't tell you how many bees I stepped on this summer and it seemed that it was always on a clover patch. Do you think that was just bum luck?
Anyone have any good recipes for zucchini bread? We have a lot of zucchini's in the garden and I want to try to make some bread. I am looking for a good recipe to make it.
My winch on my 4-wheeler is broke. It will not go back in once it's out. I have to hand crank it back in. It's a real pain in the rear. It works when it goes out, you just grab it and pull. What can be wrong?
We have had some bum luck with raccoons digging up the yard and garden lately. Our garden is fenced in and I swear they are trying to dig under the fence. They start about 4 feet back though. How can we get them to stop this?
I know it's the dead of summer, but I like to plan ahead. I'm looking for some new flowers to plant this Fall. We have a lot of mums already. What kinds of flowers or bulbs do you plant in the fall?
I hate it when my ground gets all soggy from the rain. What can I do about this? Should I get some fill brought in and try to level out the ground? At times I feel like I'm walking in a swamp!
Just bought a used roto-tiller at a yard sale. I don't know much about them except how to dig up the ground. It was really hard to start (took several pulls). What do I need to do to the tiller to get it up and running better?
We are thinking of putting in a pool out back. Anyone have an in-ground pool? I don't know how much of a pain it is to do the upkeep on an in-ground one. Do you get a lot of grass in it when you mow?
