Coming into the shop frequently now are cub cadets that the PTO bolt has become loose . The PTO and crank shaft have been damaged .
There is NO repair for this other than a new crank in the motor plus PTO and labor . Very expensive . You guys need to check the bolt tightness during your spring...
Last week was " my front wheels don't turn anymore" house calls.
You folks can use a 9/16 wrench and unbolt the drive wheels .
You will see that all of the plastic teeth are worn away - average cost $25,00 for 2 new wheels - SAVE that hour labor bill and check it yourself .
As tractor season has come to an end and snow blowers are in for service - I counted over $ 40,000.00 in high end cub & simplicity tractors and compact tractors in my going to the scrap yard pile . 50% caught on fire from not being cleaned after cuttings . 50% have rod knocks or blown apart...
Tractor is clean and well kept. After starting the engine and releasing the parking brake the dash brake light stays on and the buzzer is going off . The tractor will only move a few feet before the motor is shut off.
Where should I look first ?
Let you all know that the shop has had tractors walk behind and zero turns coming in with NO START complaints : 22hp Kawasaki's have starter drive failures . The machine I am working on only has 11.5 hours Cub Cadet LTZ 1050 .
