    Troubleshooting Starting Issue?

While working on an old Dixon Ram 50 I encountered a starting problem, chased my tail for a week only to finally figure out that there was a ground issue. Enough of a ground for everything to work but as soon as you tried to start it, nothing worked.

    Run at Full Throttle?

Another reason to run at full throttle is that the alternator is designed to produce the required voltage to recharge and maintain the battery at that RPM. I have replaced many batteries because the mower wouldn't start after a month or two of mowing with a new battery installed. I got it...

    need help

Replace the E with an F in the model, not sure about the last 3. That should bring up approx 3 different model numbers ending in either 300 (2002 Model), 131 (2003 Model) and 722 (2004 model). Those should help you in finding parts for your mower.

    Lifetime Deck Warranty

I have a Cub Cadet that has tapered bearings in the spindle and grease fittings. Easy to grease it every two or three mowings. My mower has just over 700 hours and they are still original bearings. Never did understand putting sealed bearings in a spindle and grease fittings too. Have never...

    LGT2645- Wiring

That particular wiring harness is used on many different models of the Husqvarna Mower so those wires may not have any use on your particular mower. Does your mower have a 12v outlet (cigarette lighter)? The black wires should be ground wires and most likely used on another model.

I saw your post on your 290 and I have a 029 that I upgraded with a 039 motor. I found a place, they have an Ebay site but will also sell away from Ebay. Look up See-Saws-Run on Ebay. Fast Shipping and really good prices. You can email or call them and inquire about parts. Email...

    Difficult Shifting Peerless Transaxle

I would recommend Diesel over Gasoline because of the oil content. Less likely to have a problem with rust in the parts not cover by the grease during non-operational times

No spark from coils to spark plugs

I live on a farm and even the 64 series Tractors have all Plastic hoods. You think mower/compact tractors get beat around, you can imagine the abuse a tractor gets. Field work can be a bit rough too.

    LT Electrical Issue

Sounds like you have a wire that is chaffing the frame at some point. If the fuse no longer blows, then it is most likely broken. Check the wires into the plug at the back of the switch for burned, broken or missing insulation. If you don't get power from the switch the starter will not engage

Just look at the side of the bowl and the float to see if there is or has been any rubbing

Briggs 137202 carb hole not tapped

If I remember right, the screws are a self tapping type with a tapered end. You just have to be careful not to break it off.

john deere 345 mower Kawasaki engine

I have found that the Non-Ethanol gas keeps longer with less issues. My old mower took me 4 1/2 hrs to mow my yard and a full tank of gas so I used Ethanol gas because of price but at the end of the year my last few tanks were the Non-Ethanol because it was going to be setting up over the...

    aftermarket parts

I only use "Aftermarket Blades, Air and Oil Filters. The blades are actually heavier than the OEM and last longer. The filters are the same and meet all the specs of the OEM

Where the %&$#@ does this spring go?

Kinda looks like the spring that connects the throttle to the governor linkage so when you move the throttle, it provides a steady pull on the throttle linkage. It is needed to maintain pressure as the governor does it's governing thing.

    Garden Tractor Brain Teaser

The click sounds like the anti-backfire solenoid, if you feel up to the challenge, you might jump the starter solenoid to see if it is the solenoid or the switch. If it at least spins, then you can be mostly certain that it is the solenoid. If you have a multi meter, check for voltage on both...
