How much trouble is it to remove the fan shroud on a FX730V engine? I want to remove it to clean, and remove any grass stuck under there, looks like I need to remove the screen on the fly wheel, the fuel pump, then 6 other bolts and it should lift off. Am I right here?

I was cleaning around my engine and was wondering about under the shroud, I have removed the small covers on the shroud and blown out the engine fins they seemed very clean, Should I go the trouble to remove the whole shroud, or is blowing out the top through the ports good enough? I know...

I have a KM 130 R 4 mix, I was trimming around the trees and fence for about an hour, when I was done I noticed the gear box at the trimmer head was hot, I checked the grease and its full, never paid any attention before, do these angle drives run hot? Or do I have a problem?

I've always used straight 30 wt oil in my Kawasaki engine on my Tiger Cat II, was at the dealer picking up a part and he told me Kawasaki recommends 10w-40 in their engines now. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I've always found air cooled engines seem to use oil with multi grade oils, anyone...

Finally got and installed my electronic air filter restriction minder, looks like it will work good, time will tell. There was a place to plug it in on my Tiger Cat II so it was simply plug and play.

My Tiger Cat II has a place for an air cleaner restriction gauge in the Cat Eye display and I want to install one. My question is has anyone installed one on their mower, is it plug and play, or is it a big deal to install? Dealer said the part is about $70.00, and I want to get one. Any help...

Just put a set of Gator blades on my Scag so I could grind up my leafs, works good, do the Gator blades work as good for lawn mowing as the blades that Scag put on their mowers from the factory? Or should I change them back out in the spring?

I notice the Briggs always has the most posts of all the engines brands, is it the Briggs has the most problems, or is it the 're just more Briggs out there?

I have a Scag Tiger Cat II and was wondering about removing the deck for cleaning, almost looks like it'll be pain to do, anyone ever remove the deck from one of these? If it's a big pain I'll just let it be.

How many of you guy's sharpen your own blades? If so what do you use for a balancer, I just hang them from a nail on the barn wall but have heard that's not a good way to check for balance. Been looking for a good balancer, but most of them are 100 bucks or better. Give me some ideas.

My Kawasaki FX730V calls for NGK BPR4ES plugs, what I'm Finding is the BPR4ES-11, what is the eleven on the end of the number mean, or is this BPR4ES-11 a totally different plug?
