My understanding is that when the rpms drop the flywheel turns slower causing the vane to release pressure on the spring increasing rpm. Could be I don't know how the governor works.
The wheels are set at the 3" setting (one click below highest setting), dry grass and the deck is in clean...
Cut the lawn last week at 3", again this week at 3". Runs at 3100 rpm and bogs under minimal resistance. The blade is new, air vane moves freely. I've had the mower six years. I'm at a loss what to try next.
Running fine, engine stopped running and blade free-wheeled to a stop. No compression and piston not moving with pull rope. What do you think happened. Thanks
my 8270 was running fine until I spent a few days working on the self propel. Now it is running but revs up and down and never clears up. It acts like it's starving fuel but I rebuilt the carb, new fuel filter and lines recently. Today I took off the carb and made sure everything is clean...
I'm still not getting something. New rollers, adjusted rod. It pulls for about 15' then stops pulling. Push it a bit and it pulls briefly, then stops again. Is there a transmission that could be slipping? I am lost.
Thanks
