    Thanks...I will begin using the new clearances next season. The engine is immaculately clean with no debris at all; the fan is fully operational Will check the head this weekend and see if the guide has moved.

    I check both intake and exhaust.. .006 (intake) and .010 (exhaust) The steel rod has never been re-adjusted.

    Thanks Fish...caps in place, and I am not sure of the phrase, but the gap between the cap and the rocker arm gets checked prior to that manual rotation I mentioned. (oil check done as well)

    Hey All, Thanks for reading. I have a 2013 Troy Built Speed Pony with a 17.5 hp Model 31C707 3346 G6. I bend the aluminum intake pushrod every 2 weeks...possibly more than that. I am planning on a rebuild of the engine this fall, possibly August, and can limp through until them changing them...

    Hey all, Thanks in advance! Sorry for the oddness here. And my stupidity - I can honestly say that small engine repair is a weak suit! Feel free to laugh! Shut off my mower to empty the grass from the bagger and it would not restart. The engine turns, but it sound like no spark/no fuel...
