I picked up a 73 Snapper Comet riding mower. It was stored well, drained of all fluids and covered. Had problems with getting gas to run. It would run on carb cleaner sprayed in the carb, but wouldn't pull gas. I took off the carb to replace or rebuild. Seems the OEM type is $100 or more...
