  • I did an "LED" conversion...yeah, I know I said "HID" but they are so bright it is the same thing basicly. I have installed the real "HID" kits on my son truck using highs-lows-fog lamps. It could be done! But the modifications to the bulb holders would be irreversable. I too have a new mower and worried about the warranty. So this is what I used....2pcs 1156 1093 WHITE 12-LED BRAKE/TAIL/TURN BULB LIGHT | eBay
saw you changed out your 1156 bulbs for HID's. I was building a set of 30 watt led laps with a bayonet style base so I didnt have to modify anything but seeing as you have already done the homework on an HID convertion can I get some more details? what HID kit did you order? how did you mount the bulbs? can it be put back to stock? My mower is brand new and has a 6 year warrenty through my dealer and every year they tear the thing down and clean it up and service it. I dont want them to void my warrenty just for some brighter bulbs so it would be nice if it could go back to stock once a year for the dealer service.

can I get some pics of under the hood? the ballests, the bulbs, the headligh assembly.

I should recive my neon kit in the next couple of days, I will send some pics.
